Youth Engagement Officer - Limited Tenure

  • Limited Tenure from now to end January 2027
  • Part-time (0.7) - 50.75hrs/fortnight
  • $88,528.02 per annum pro rata plus superannuation 12%


City of Darwin has a limited-tenure position available for a part-time Youth Engagement Officer to late January 2027. The successful candidate will have experience developing projects and programs with and for young people along with expertise in sector collaboration.

  • A passionate advocate for young people
  • Community minded and strong connector and collaborator
  • An innovative problem solver, able to identify emerging trends and issues to effectively address the developmental needs of young people 12-25
  • Committed to continual improvement of youth engagement initiatives
  • A dynamic team player, adept at working within both the local government environment and direct program delivery with young people

You will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in community development or youth work or equivalent qualifications/experience
  • Minimum two years' experience in a similar role
  • Working with Children Clearance (or ability to obtain)
  • Driver's Licence Class C
